i think i am really weird. maybe i'm not even human. but i do love myself! but there are times when i don't. oh, what a confusing post! last week was my birthday. it was lame and ...lame. it was uneventful and miserable because my parents made it seem like it was another thursday. unfortunately, it is in fact another thursday. perhaps i am making a big fuss over nothing. le sigh le sigh le sigh U____U at least my schoolmates and i had dinner! so it was kind'a alright. that feeling when you expect something interesting to happen but your heart just sink to rock bottom...

Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?

Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.

Professor: Flawed ? Can you explain how?

Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good GOD and a bad GOD. You are viewing the concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.

Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Professor: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.

Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor. Are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?

(The class broke out into laughter. )

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. Definitions of Types of Death

In a practical sense, however, the exact moment at which a person is “dead” is an argument over a very fine point indeed. The fact remains that humans do die. Death does eventually occur at some point. But there are many types of death, and it’s good to know some definitions.

Necrobiosis. Individual cells die all the time. The cells in your body today weren’t there years ago, except your nerve cells. Necrobiosis is the death of cells over the lifespan of an organism. After necrobiosis, a cell is replaced with a new one in a continual process throughout a human’s life.

Necrosis. When many cells die at once, it isn’t the normal continual necrobiosis of life. Necrosis is the death of an organ or part of an organ. In medicine this is called infarction (yes, that’s how it’s supposed to be spelled.)

Clinical Death. No breathing, no circulation, and no brain activity characterize clinical death. But that’s only half. The other side, the most integral part which separates clinical death from somatic death, is that clinical death begins at the very onset of the symptoms of death, say right after cardiac arrest has cause the heart to stop. It lasts for about four minutes, and it is the interval in which life can be brought back through CPR. After a short few minutes, death is permanent, because the state of the body has gone from clinical death to…

Brain Death. A brain deprived of oxygen survives for 3 to 7 minutes, making it the first organ to die when circulation or respiration ceases or is impeded, whatever the cause of trouble may be. After a few minutes, the brain can’t be brought back to life by any means available today. This is brain death, and it’s the reason why clinical death, the period in which a person can be resuscitated, is so short. Once the brain goes, the heart doesn’t know how to pump and the lungs don’t know how to breath.

Somatic death. Eventually an organism ceases to be in the process of dying and proceeds to be dead. Somatic death is the death— the permanent, irreversible death— of an organism as a whole. In humans it is usually after brain death, as the other vital organs are unable to function without the brain. With modern technology, though, one can be brain dead but still have circulation and respiration artificially. In such a case one isn’t somatically dead because other organs are still alive. Once artificial support is removed somatic death occurs, because the person is then entirely and completely inactive with regard to brain, circulation, and respiration.

I am (or the last time I had my height taken at the gym..which was, a month plus ago) 173/4cm....
Dont care, just going to say I'm 5ft 7! I think I like my height, I really do but if I can, I would like to grow taller! You know how some girls don't seem to like the fact that you are tall for an asian girl? They start giving lame comments— like, ''Yeah I might be short but I also don't want to be as tall as you.'' YOU SURE NOT? I can see it in your eyes (while looking down on you) that that's not what you really mean eyyyyy. And when I question them why, they (or some) have replied, ''Guys prefer smaller-size girls.They feel intimidated with tall girls.'' or ''It'll be harder to find clothes lah, cause' usually tall girls need bigger size." I suppose there's some unintentional hinting and all but I don't agree at all. :( Anyway I think 173cm is still a comfortable height. I guess, an average Singaporean dude is around my height, so bummer! Perhaps I'm more suited for Caucasians' heheeh!

I like Felice Fawn's body (disclaimer: but I heard she was anorexic and lost weight by starving herself). I chose this picture because mainly, it shows off her body loh. She has nice legs. I want to wear everything in my closet without feeling or looking fat.

I think the main problem is the area on the both sides, between the waist to hip. it's so CHUNKY MONEKY! The only 'diet' I did was running in the morning and staying out of food with too much sodium, sugar and oil. So no junk food and desserts. But DAMN, i'd just ate ice cream yesterday. And my mom is annoying. She always always make or buy supper for herself and in the end, she can't finish them. Since my dad usually sleeps earlier, she will come to and ask me to help finish her food. Rice, instant noodles, seaweed chicken blah blah blah ... NOT HELPING.

this is why i am awkward all the time. not a people person! there are so many awkward scenarios and situations, it's happening as if it ... it's the same level as breathing.

1# see a friend in the lift but your friend isn't very close to you

so you know this person and you seen her quite a few times to know her name. you're friends with her on facebook but not to the extend that you have her contact number. do you say hi?...or do you desperately pretend she's not there. but isn't it rude? especially when it's only both of you in the four corners of such compact space? okay, so usually i just avoid eye contact but if it happens that there is eye contact, i just smile. ... and smile.. to myself (creeeeeppppyyyyyy) so that it doesnt seem too fake. and praying that the lift reach her floor or my floor really soon. it doesnt help either if we're going to the same level. do i say bye? DO I SAY BYE!? it's even worst ifffffff the particular person is a guy. :(

2# when your friend meets their friend on the streets

i hate it. i fucking hate this. it happens to everyone i suppose, but arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i really really despise the feeling of awkwardly standing aside while waiting for your friend to finish small chat with their friend. and therefore, most of the time, i'll pretend that i need to use the toilet or stare at the floor as if it's so intriguing ....anything to excuse myself or avoid being noticed by the other party.

then again, if it goes the other way round, like - i happen to bump into a friend and my other friend is along with me, i don't know how to improve the situation either. BUMMMEEEERRR :(

3# when your friend gets a million text messages and you get NONE!

just prove that i have no social life and nobody needs me. hence, to make myself less awkward,i pretend to be texting or checking out facebook on my iphone but actually, i'm just scrolling down my contact list or playing oven break. :(

i am watching romantic drama on the telly now. i don't usually enjoy watching romantic stuff because i...i just don't. i get so into the story, and especially if the lead actor is cute, i wonder why i cant be the actress. why it cant happen to me!!! :( and then when the whole show ends, i would go...owwwwwwwww i want more! I WANT MORE! so this is why i don't like romantic shows but i dont like is because i get sad. it was so cute when the guy hugged the girl because she was talking to much and i'm like owwwwww.
